I'm a typical member of the 90s generation. The Mao Wang Furniture Factory was established when I was still in diapers, crawling around the house.
In my childhood memories, my father (founder of Mao Wang Furniture) would come home very late every day and still draw sketches with a pencil. Those repeatedly refined lines became the symbol of Mao Wang furniture products.
My most unforgettable childhood memories are from second grade. Every weekend, I would go to the Mao Wang factory on Datong Road with my parents. While I helped my mother with calculations using an abacus in the factory's finance office, the shearing machine in the next workshop was processing raw materials. As the workshop technicians discussed steel pipe wall thickness processing techniques, I would ride my little skateboard through the metal workshop, using the production line as my racetrack. From a young age, I was deeply impressed by furniture.
After completing my university studies at age 23 and earning a bachelor's degree in economics from Boston University, I rushed back to China to start working. Seeing Mao Wang furniture products, I finally understood my father and team's many years of hard work, which made me even more determined to dedicate myself to this cause.
Full of enthusiasm, I started working as a regional sales manager in 2013. Back then, my understanding of the market was still limited to what I'd learned in business school. Every business decision was made independently, without consulting the team, acting on assumptions. After 5 years of hard work, I finally understood my father's words, "One person walks fast, but many people go far." at the age of 30.
With changes in consumer buying habits, online shopping has become the mainstream. Our factory team began transitioning to an internet-based factory-store model in 2019, connecting directly with retail customers. Through years of providing customer service, I have come to understand that providing good furniture package customization services is not something one person can achieve through intelligence or hard work alone. To provide good customized and personalized interior decoration design services, we need to leverage teamwork to focus on user-centric services. Only when the entire team shares a common goal is there a chance for long-term success in a fiercely competitive market. Only after turning 30 did I gradually understand the belief and values my father established for all Mao Wang people.
